Famitsu’s most-wanted games for March 21 have been released. Votes were cast between March 4 and March 10, and once again, the Nintendo Switch is dominating the top of the list. Several Nintendo games have also made their debut on Famitsu’s most-wanted. Splatoon 3 and Project Triangle Strategy both debuted on the list at numbers 24 and 25 respectively. This is surprising given how popular Splatoon 2 is in Japan; you would think it would be higher, but as time goes on, I’m sure it will move up the list. None of the Pokemon games are on the most-wanted list, which is a surprise, but they were just announced, so it may take some time. Six of the top 10 games on the list are Nintendo Switch games. Monster Hunter Rise continues to dominate; Final Fantasy XVI is in second; in third place comes Tales of Arise; Breath of the Wild 2 is in fourth place; Resident Evil Village rounds out the top five; Bayonetta 3 and Shin Megami Tensei V take the six and seven slots; Rune Factory 5 and Pokemon Snap are at eight and nine; NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… rounds out the top 10. As the year goes on, there will be many games that will drop out or fall due to newly announced games and games that are on the cusp of releasing. It will be fun to watch as Famitsu’s most-wanted list evolves as time goes on, and this March 21 list is entertaining to say the least.
