Famitsu sales from 6/7 through 6/13 are in, and Nintendo continues to dominate with the Nintendo Switch. The Switch sold almost 80,000 units during this period, while Sony, with their PlayStation 5, managed to sell a measly 19,500 units, roughly. Nintendo sold over four times what Sony sold hardware-wise over the same period of time. If this isn’t domination, I don’t know what is. Here are the full numbers.

Switch – 61,766
Switch Lite – 16,551
PS5 – 15,648
PS5 Digital Edition – 3,771
Xbox Series X – 2,182
PS4 – 1,185
Xbox Series S – 512
New 2DS LL – 395

When it comes to software sales, Nintendo continues to decimate Sony as well. Nintendo only holds six of the top 10 spots, but, these are titles that have been out for a bit of time. All four of the PlayStation 5’s best-sellers for the week of June 7 through June 13 are brand-new titles. Whether they have the longevity that Nintendo titles have remains to be seen. Also, if the list is expanded upon, Nintendo decimates Sony as a whole, taking 22 of the top 30 spots in the Japanese charts. Here is the full list.

Nintendo continues to dominate the Japanese market, and with all of the games that are coming out in the coming weeks and later this year, there’s no reason to think that this will change.
