The recent release of the Official PlayStation Magazine has unveiled a slew of information regarding the upcoming Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Lead hub designer for TT Games, Dawn McDiarmid, detailed that the game is set to feature 800 characters and 300 playable ones. Among this cast is the lovable creature, Babu Frik, who made their debut during the recent film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In addition to this character, McDiarmid stated that many of the playable characters have been seen in the sequel trilogy.
This wasn’t the only news that the lead hub designer shared, however. 23 planets and moons are featured in this title with 28 different playable locations for all to explore. Fans can expect to encounter various space battles while also adventuring in a big, open world. “If you have a favorite Star Wars location, it’s pretty likely you can visit it in-game” says McDiarmid.
Gamers are able to play through the entire saga in order, if they choose to do so. The game has been designed for anyone to play how they decide to. There is no linear style of storytelling which allows for a strong sense of freedom. Lastly, the developers felt that the character, Finn, wasn’t allowed to have a profound sense of development in Episode 9. The team believes they have been able to right this wrong and hope that fans enjoy it.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga releases later this year, 2021, on all major systems and PC.
