We weren’t wrong when we said Attack on Titan’s final season was on par with Game of Thrones as a cultural phenomenon! According to Parrot Analytics, Attack on Titan is the most in-demand show currently airing in the United States. In an analysis taken from January 31 to February 6, Attack on Titan is being sought after 110.5 times your average television series. It’s right above Spongebob and Saturday Night Live, and to really put things in perspective, Disney+ shows The Mandalorian and Wandavision have scores of 63.1x and 60x, respectively. It’s astounding that Attack on Titan has become the biggest show in America.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season started airing in December and hasn’t looked back. Although the pace has slowed the past two episodes, it has put forth some of its greatest episodes as of late, dominating IMDB’s top television episodes of all-time. Attack on Titan is a worldwide phenomenon and like Eren, will keep on moving forward until all of its competitors (enemies) are destroyed. The key to the series’ success has been its ability to adapt and evolve, as it went from simply being about humanity fighting Titans to expanding into a whole new world. We’re currently on episode 10 in The Final Season, which has been near-perfect aside from some animation woes, although Wit Studio had similar problems with the series (MAPPA Studio took over for them for The Final Season.) What’s most surprising (or not) is the global appeal of Attack on Titan and whether it can continue its momentum.

Attack on Titan airs on Sundays and can be watched on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
