If a rumored sighting in Atlanta is to be believed, Andrew Garfield may be filming Spider-Man 3. The funny thing is that it may have been confirmed by a DoorDash driver. He claimed Garfield was rude when he asked him for his ID, as it was protocol. He remembered who he was because he was the one who “dropped Gwen.” These are not the first rumors that Garfield is appearing in the latest Spider-Man though.

These rumors have been persisting since at least October. When Sony was asked whether or not the casting rumors were true, they didn’t confirm nor deny, and instead said that the rumor was “not confirmed at this time.” How a Garfield, Maguire, and Tom Holland Spider-Man film would work is anybody’s guess, but all three actors brought something great to the role. The only one of the three that got short-changed was Andrew Garfield. He was a phenomenal Peter Parker and Spider-Man, but got sub-par scripts and directing, despite a good supporting cast. It has already been confirmed that Jamie Foxx from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be returning as Electro. This gives the return of Garfield even more credence.

Spider-Man 3 is currently filming in Atlanta and is set to be released on December 17 of this year. With all of these rumors circulating, Sony will have to address them at some point. Or spoil it in a trailer. Either one would do.
