Of the top 30 Famitsu software sales from 1/24 to 1/30, only four of the games are from non-Nintendo consoles. This is sheer and utter dominance by the Nintendo publisher and developer. Taking the top spot is Pokemon Legends Areus, which sold just under 1.5 million units during its first week of release. The rest is followed by Mario Party Superstars; Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl; Mario Kart 8 Deluxe; Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; Minecraft; and Animal Crossing New Horizons. Not bad company! There are also a lot of games that came out during the Nintendo Switch’s early lifecycle, which one of strategies Nintendo has pushed fairly heavily. While they want users to push new games, they also want new gamers to purchase older games as well, which seems to be working out for them very well. Here is the top 30 list in fill.
