GameStop has posted their top pre-orders post-E3 2021, and it may very well surprise some people. Nintendo dominates the list, explicitly. In fact, a game that wasn’t even showcased, Skyward Sword HD, is their second-most pre-ordered game post-E3 behind Metroid Dread, which was the surprise announcement of E3 2021. The top five pre-order games are all Nintendo Switch titles, and all the titles are coming this year. Metroid Dread is number one; Skyward Sword HD is number two; Mario Golf Super Rush is number three; Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl come in at number four; and surprisingly, Mario Party Super Stars came in at number five.

Here is the full list.

1. Metroid Dread: Coming 10/8/21
2. Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD: Coming 7/16/21
3. Mario Golf Switch: Coming 6/25/21
4. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shiny Pearl: Coming 11/19/21
5. Mario Party Superstars: Coming 10/29
6. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Coming 10/26
7. Far Cry 6: Coming 10/7/21
8. Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance: Coming 6/22/21
9. Madden NFL 22: Coming 8/20/21
10. Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Coming 1/28/22
11. Halo Infinite: Release date TBD ****Honorable mention

Halo Infinite at number 11 is very surprising, while a game like Pokemon Legends Arceus, which doesn’t release until early 2021, still edged out the top 10. What this list has to say is that Nintendo dominated E3 2021. There is no question about that. There is no debate. And gamers are speaking with their wallets.
