The UK software sales for the week ending on June 7 are in, and five of the 10 titles are Nintendo Switch games! What’s more, two of the top three games (numbers two and three) have been out well over a year in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This follows Nintendo’s strategy of trying to get gamers to buy older Switch games in addition to new ones, which has worked out splendidly for them. The three other games in the top 10 which are Switch games are Minecraft, Miitopia, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Here is the top 10 in full.

It’s nice to see so many Nintendo games in the top 10, but aside from that, there are so many excellent games. I have just started playing The Last of Us Part II and have been thoroughly impressed so far. Resident Evil and Spider-Man: Miles Morales are nothing to scoff at eitherIt will be interesting to see how the UK Software Sales change after the week ending on June 7.
