Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury’s resolution and framerate on the Nintendo Switch has been revealed. The game is set to release on February 12, after a delay. It was originally supposed to release in 2020 as a part of Nintendo’s celebration of Mario’s 35th anniversary. Mario is the face of Nintendo, and even though the game is yet another port of a Wii U game, it has enough extra content to warrant a purchase, especially with Bowser’s Fury added into the mix. Super Mario 3D World has a resolution of 1080p and has a framerate of 60fps docked on the Switch, and will run in 720p and 60fps in handheld mode. Bowser’s Fury will run at 720p, or possibly a bit higher, and at 60fps docked. It will run in 720p and 30fps in handheld mode. Although it’s disappointing that Bowser’s Fury will not run in 1080p docked, as that’s the standard in this day and age, and at just 30fps in handheld mode, it most likely won’t take away from the overall experience of the game. The performance of Nintendo’s first-party games are always top-notch, and we expect nothing different from Nintendo’s most storied franchise. Again, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will release on the Nintendo Switch on February 12.
