The Japanese publication Famitsu has released sales numbers from 1/18 through 1/24 of this year. On the hardware side, the Nintendo Switch is still dominating, though the numbers are down significantly from last week. This past week, the Nintendo Switch sold approximately 110,000 units combined compared to 170,000 units last week. That’s a significant drop off, though it’s still dominating in sales. The PlayStation 5’s numbers, in turn, are up significantly. Last week, the PlayStation 5 sold a little over 7,000 units combined. This past week, however, it sold roughly 17,000 units. This could be an issue of supply and Sony managed to deliver in that respect. That’s more than double the units sold from last week. While the Nintendo Switch still crushed the competition, the PlayStation’s numbers are up, and it will be interesting to see how well they do when supply numbers can meet the demand for the system. Here are the full sales numbers below.

Switch – 87,385
Switch Lite – 23,426
PS5 – 15,312
PS4 – 3,427
PS5 Digital Edition – 2,036
New 2DS LL – 439
Xbox Series X – 386
Xbox Series S – 38
PS4 Pro – 16

On the software side, the entire top 10 is comprised of Nintendo games. Once again, it’s surprising that so many of the games are older Switch games. They have such longevity, and though this may be due to a drought in the Switch’s release schedule, it’s still incredibly impressive. Here is the full list.
