Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will include an epilogue, Future Connected, which was first unveiled during the Nintendo Direct Mini last week. Future Connected will be playable from the outset, meaning you do not need to complete the main game in order to access it (though it is highly recommended that you do), and will focus on Shulk and Melia. Given the popularity of Melia and her role in the latter half of the game as more of a background character, this is fantastic news for fans of the iconic character (my favorite in the game personally.) Future Connected also comes with the base game, so you will not need to purchase it as additional DLC or anything of the like.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is launching on the Nintendo Switch on May 29 and can be pre-purchased digitally on the Switch today. The base game, without completing all the sidequests, is 100 hours easy and will give Switch owners yet another massive RPG to get their hands on and enjoy. It originally came out in 2010 and only had a limited release in America, so this is the first time the Americas will get to enjoy a full-fledged release of the game.

Given how epic the game is in scope and scale, it is easily one of our most anticipated games of 2020, and Future Connected is one of the most exciting parts of the game, especially given there are still so many unknowns about it.
