The Wonderful 101: Remastered is one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch port games coming up, one we never thought would see the light of day. The Wonderful 101: Remastered Kickstarter raised just short of $2.25 million, which is a staggering amount and shows a demand for the Wii U game on the Switch which is unreal. One of the stretch goals was two new orchestral recordings. Although the crowdfunding reached just short of the $2.25 million stretch goal in order to include the orchestral music, Platinum Games was able to raise the additional funds via a Twitch stream that celebrated the final hours of the crowdfunding campaign. The original goal for the project was $50,000, but backers quickly surpassed that and ultimately raised roughly 45 times the original goal for the project.

This may be the most successful Kickstarter for any video game project and sets a brand new model for future projects trying to crowdfund. This time around, The Wonderful 101 isn’t merely a Nintendo exclusive; it’s being released for the PlayStation 4, PC/Steam, and the Nintendo Switch.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered has been in demand for a while and finally Platinum Games is set to deliver. The game will be released on the PlayStation 4, and PC on May 19, 2020, in North America, May 22, 2020, in Europe, and June 11, 2020, in Japan.
