Remedy Entertainment’s Control has finally received a release date. Launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through the Epic Games Store on August 27. An official gameplay trailer was also revealed on the company’s YouTube channel which can be viewed below:
In addition to the game’s official release date, a slew of pre-order bonuses and version differences were shown off. PlayStation 4 is going to receive a few pieces of exclusive DLC. These are available on day one and included with all versions of the game, which are:
- Rare Service Weapon Mod – used to upgrade Jesse’s main weapon in the game
- Rare Player Mod – used to upgrade Jesse’s supernatural abilities in the game
- Astral Dive suit – a bonus outfit for Jesse
- 2 static themes for your PS4 – “The Black Rock Quarry” and “The Explorer”
The company has unveiled detailed charts highlighting both physical and digital editions of the title. It features a Retail/Digital Standard Edition, Retail Exclusive, and Digital Deluxe version that all feature differing content.
Control is a third-person action-adventure game that follows Jesse Faden as she takes control of an otherworldly secret organization in New York. Faden’s journey takes her through the ins and outs of this Bureau’s strange inner workings as well as her own supernatural powers. With modifiable loadouts and a reactive environment, players can expect to fight through a “deep and unpredictable world.”
