Square Enix has recently revealed the main story length for its highly anticipated RPG, Kingdom Hearts 3. According to a PR representative, the core campaign will run gamers between 40 and 50 hours, any side missions and extras will stretch it out to a potential 80 hours. The information was stated during a hands-on demo for the upcoming title.
Early concept art for this third installment began as early as 2006, after the release of Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix. Sony would later officially reveal that it was in development during their 2013 E3 conference. During Xbox’s 2018 conference it was announced that it will be headed to the Xbox One as well.
A limited edition PS4 pro system will come bundled with the game’s deluxe edition and an all-in-one package which includes the compilations, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. These contain every game released in the franchise and are exclusive to the PlayStation 4 system.
A special edition was listed on the Square Enix store, retailing at $229.99. This contains the deluxe edition and figures of Goofy, Donald, and Sora. Each figure is inspired by their Toy Story world designs.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 29, 2019. There is no official word whether or not it could come to PC.
