Niantic Inc., the company behind the augmented-reality-mobile games Ingress and the ever-popular Pokémon Go, shared a page (through their official Facebook account) titled “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite,” along with “#WizardsUnite” and a link to sign up for more information.

Clicking the link will lead you to a sign-up page stating: “A mobile game adventure inspired by J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World is coming soon!” Which is followed by a sign-up button, requiring both your date of birth and e-mail address.

Will this collaboration between Niantic Inc. and WB Games on Harry Potter: Wizards Unite strike gold and be as popular as Pokémon Go? Will Niantic Inc. deviate from the structure of their established formula? Only time will tell, but one more tidbit of information from the bottom of the sign-up page is telling: “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite uses state-of-the-art augmented reality technology to reveal the magic all around us.
