Zeboyd Games’ science-fiction RPG, Cosmic Star Heroinehas been announced for the Nintendo Switch. Publisher, Limited Run Games announced on Twitter that the game will launch August 14, 2018. Pre-orders are set to go live on the Nintendo eShop very soon. Those that do pre-order can take advantage of a 10% discount. A physical release is also planned for late 2018 or early 2019.

Cosmic Star Heroine first released back in April of 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Windows. The game has received generally favorable reviews from critics, citing its combat system and graphics. It draws inspiration from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, and Mass Effect. Its story tasks players with uncovering a dark conspiracy, after being outed as a government spy.

This upcoming title features 11 playable characters set in the fictional Zevanii Star System. There are no random battles and encounters that are seen can not respawn. A base upgrading system is introduced that allows for NPCs to join player’s parties in order to support in battle while offering a few bonuses.

Initially, the game was unveiled in 2015 as a Kickstarter campaign. Once the campaign was over, the costs raised totaled over $130,000. Zeboyd owed its success to the timing of its creation, as well as the backer rewards. The game is planned to come to all other platforms at a later date.
