Just before EA’s conference was set to begin, Unravel 2 has been leaked. Thanks to an ESRB rating, we have learned about the latest EA Original. The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, much like the first installment. No word on a Nintendo Switch release, as of the time of writing.
The original puzzle platformer released in 2016 to generally positive reviews. It was praised for its aesthetic artwork and interesting story, while also drawing comparisons to Limbo and LittleBigPlanet. The game proved to be a success for EA and it was later stated a sequel may be in the works. Now, it is all but officially confirmed that Unravel 2 is set to come very soon.
This year has seen a ridiculous amount of leaks before the E3 event. Walmart Canada unveiled a large number of games, which forced Bethesda to reveal Rage 2 ahead of schedule. Fortnite and Dragon Ball FighterZ were also revealed for the Nintendo Switch thanks to a leaked setlist. Even something as small as a keychain was able to leak Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.
Thankfully, E3 begins in just a few hours with EA’s 2018 conference. Their showcase begins at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST. The stream can be viewed at the link above or on all major streaming platforms, including social media.
