Ymir Fritz was the progenitor of all Tians. She gained the ability to become “something”; that’s something that isn’t known. Some say it’s the source of all nature, others say she’s a miracle of God, the other says she’s a pawn of the devil. With the backstory revealed though, she is no god, nor a devil; she’s just a human. She has the chance to choose.
Afterward, there was an explosion where Ymir attained the parasite and the first Titan was born. Despite this, she continued to serve King Fritze. She cultivated the land, built bridges, and amassed a large portion of wealth for the Eldians. Despite this horrible abuse she suffered, she still obeyed King Frits. For 2,000 years There was an assassin that was trying to kill Fritz with a sword, but Ymir jumped in the way and passed. Is this shat she wanted? She was canalized by her daughters to make sure her power was passed down and that was the beginning of the Titan dominance on earth.
Eren saw everything and told her that she’s not a devil and she’s not a god, she’s a human. She has the will to choose. In doing this, she helped Eren further to activate the Rumbling. Ymir’s sale is quite a tragic one, her tongue cut out, left to dead by dogs, ut she ultimately encountered an enormous power. We she right? Was she wrong? In every episode it seems like she’ still asleep, until the final panel when she opens up her eyes and cries. Eren understands Ymir and her suffering much more than Zeke. In fact, Zeke demanded that she obey him because has royal blood! This sounds eerily remiiscent of the first Eldian King. When it’s all said and done though, while this wasn’t the best episode of Attack On Titan (tie between ‘Declaration of War’ and ‘That Day.’)
The rumbling has started. Is there anywhere to hide? An underground locker maybe? It’s doubtful, though the last three episode are as close to a three-star run the series has had to perfect. Art is subjective and And I’m proud I stuck with Attack on Ttan all this time.
