The game has received generally favorable reviews from critics, citing its combat system and graphics. It draws inspiration from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, and Mass Effect. Its story tasks players with uncovering a dark conspiracy, after being outed as a government spy. This upcoming title features 11 playable characters set in the fictional Zevanii Star System. There are no random battles and encounters that are seen can not respawn. A base upgrading system is introduced that allows for NPCs to join player’s parties in order to support in battle while offering a few bonuses. Initially, the game was unveiled in 2015 as a Kickstarter campaign. Once the campaign was over, the costs raised totaled over $130,000. Zeboyd owed its success to the timing of its creation, as well as the backer rewards. The game is planned to come to all other platforms at a later date.
