During the most recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that a few high-profile Wii U titles will be making the jump to the 3DS. After first unveiling a portable version of Super Mario Maker, Nintendo announced the release of Yoshi’s Woolly World 3DS port. This portable version, titled Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World, will let players explore Yoshi’s adorable world of yarn on the go with their Nintendo 3DS.

As announced in its debut trailer, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World will feature every single stage from the Wii U original, so 3DS players won’t be missing out on any of content. This Yoshi’s Woolly World 3DS title will also have a few additional features, many of which center around Yoshi’s puppy companion Poochy. Exclusive new stages will see Poochy running to collect beads, and new “Poochy Pups” companions will help Yoshi discovers hidden secrets.

In addition to the new game, Nintendo will be partnering with stop-motion animation studio Dwarf to produce a series of shorts inspired by the new game. Thirty of these shorts, which show the everyday lives of Yoshi and Poochy, will be included with Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World. Nintendo will also be releasing a new yarn Poochy amiibo alongside the game.

Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is scheduled for release on February 7 for the Nintendo 3DS.
