Warner Bros had one of the biggest panels this year for San Diego Comic-Con. Trailers were released for the upcoming films Aquaman, SHAZAM!, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Fans were also shown bits of Wonder Woman: 1984 and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. 

Aquaman

An official trailer was given for Jason Momoa’s Aquaman standalone film. This is the first footage shown from the set. This coincides with the official poster and set photos that were revealed in the past week. The James Wan-directed project will feature the debut of Black Manta, as well. Aquaman splashes into theatres on December 21, 2018.

SHAZAM!

Zachary Levi and company came on stage to debut the first trailer for the upcoming SHAZAM! film. The first look shows a bit of the movie’s plot, as well as a look at how the titular hero gets its powers. Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam will not appear as the main villain, instead, he will have his own standalone film. SHAZAM! releases in theatres on April 5, 2019.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

The stars of the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel took the stage to show off its newest trailer. Ezra Miller cosplaying Toadette was a notable appearance, however, that wasn’t the biggest. Johnny Depp appeared in character and delivered a chilling monologue to those in attendance. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theatres November 16, 2018.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Cast members for the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters came up to debut the first trailer for the film. Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) were all present to take questions and show off the first look. This will be the third film in the MonsterVerse and is set to feature Godzilla, as it battles against Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. May 31, 2019, is the release date going forward.

Wonder Woman: 1984

Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Patty Jenkins were all present to show off the first look at Wonder Woman: 1984. An action sequence depicting Wonder Woman in a mall food court was shown to those in attendance. This scene has not been made available to those not present at Hall H as of yet. The anticipated sequel will debut November 1, 2019.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Another film being showcased was The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks were on-stage discussing tidbits of the film. A trailer was also revealed for the audience, but much like Wonder Woman, it has not been released to the general public. This upcoming sequel finds its way into theatres on February 8, 2019.

The star-studded Hall H panel left fans satisfied after its conclusion. DC Universe fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year. San Diego Comic-Con 2018 was a success for Warner Bros. Studios.
