Earlier this morning developer, Telltale Games, has announced that The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 has been delayed. The company released a statement regarding the recent news:

“This delay comes as the result of a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer.

Most importantly, we’re committed to exploring new ways to tell our stories. Taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special.

Ultimately our goal is to deliver an experience deserving of the passion you’ve consistently shown for The Wolf Among Us, and these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work.”

The highly anticipated follow-up is now set for a 2019 release date. Originally it was announced that this would launch in the latter half of 2018.

The cause of this delay could be due to the mass layoffs the developer suffered this past holiday. Around 25% of employees were let go due to a company-wide restructuring.

Wolf Among Us Season 2 Gets Delayed

The Wolf Among Us is based on the popular comic series, Fables. It follows Bigby Wolf as he sets off to investigate the first murder that has occurred in seven years. Players can make choices that affect the story’s plot in this episodic adventure.

Fans will have to wait just a bit longer to get their hands on this upcoming release.
