Tony Morrison, the social media manager for Good Morning America, has confirmed that The Rise of Skywalker trailer will air this Monday during Monday Night Football. This follows weeks of speculation on when the trailer would air. As we were told, it was originally going to air last Monday, but the trailer was re-cut last minute. Morrison also stated, as has been speculated, that tickets will go on sale this Monday after the trailer airs as well.

The trailer will air during halftime, which means that fans won’t have to sit through the entire game (the Patriots versus the Jets, which should be a blowout) in order to watch the last trailer of the Skywalker Saga. What will be interesting to see is how much the trailer will reveal. Will we see Palpatine in the flesh? Will it give any credence to recent leaks? If anything, the trailer is bound to give us snippets but a thirst for more. JJ Abrams is a master at this art, and if the trailers for The Force Awakens are anything to go by, it should be fantastic. They captured the magic of Star Wars and the film without spoiling too much, if anything.
The Rise of Skywalker releases this December 20, and despite our misgivings with regards to The Last Jedi, we cannot wait!
