There’s a brand new rumor that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode Warzone is coming Tuesday on March 3. This was teased on Twitter as well as corroborated by industry insider Daniel Ahmed.
On the new Bazaar map, there seems to be a blank map with the date 03/03 featured underneath. 🧐

Rumor also has it that Warzone will not only be available for those who currently own Modern Warfare, but will also be available to those who do not own the game as a standalone download. This is the way Battle Royale should be done. Activision made a huge mistake with Black Ops IIII, releasing it as a Battle Royale game-only. Modern Warfare has it all; a killer campaign, excellent multiplayer, and now Warzone, which promises to be an exhilarating experience. I’m not a battle royale player, but I’ll definitely check out Warzone. The wonderful thing about this game mode is that it’s not being pushed on players; if you want to play it, that’s great, but if you don’t want to, that’s fine too. It’s this balance which is key and Infinity Ward gets it, unfortunately, Treyarch does not.
With March 3 looming only five days away, we’ll finally have our answer, but a battle royale set in the Modern Warfare universe promises to be one of the best experiences ever.
