Microsoft, this morning has announced that not four, as previously reported, but 19 Original Xbox games will be coming to the Xbox One. The list includes many heavy hitter titles, as well as some lesser known games.
Full List of Games
Xbox also announced six Xbox 360 titles that will be enhanced to 4K for the Xbox One. This list also included a newly made backward compatible title, Sonic Generations. The other five games are:
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Red Dead Redemption
- Darksiders
- Gears of War 2
- Portal 2
The Inside Xbox event also had a few more announcements up their sleeve. Xbox FanFest 2018 tickets will cost only $45 and will include some Xbox themed swag, such as a 2 terabyte Sea of Thieves hard drive. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be receiving some cosmetic DLC, in addition to a free-to-play weekend for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers starting Thursday, April 19. The new spring update will be coming later this month, this will bring a share to Twitter option, 1440p support, and a share controller to Mixer option. Finally, Overkill Software revealed a new trailer for their upcoming The Walking Dead video game which viewers can see down below.
It was a good day to be an Xbox One owner. It also pays off to hold on to your old video games. This was a step in the right direction for the new Inside Xbox program, while the previous episode felt like a bit of a misstep. Hopefully, Microsoft will continue to deliver and can grow momentum heading into E3 2018.
