Yesterday, Nintendo introduced four Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters. Today, they introduced two more: Taion and Eunie. Each character received a short description, in addition to one piece of art and two new screenshots. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a sequel to 2017’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Nintendo Switch. It was announced during Nintendo’s February Direct and will release in September of 2022.

Eunie

“Eunie is a soldier of Keves who fights alongside her childhood friends Noah and Lanz. Equipped with a cane-shaped weapon called a Gunrod, Eunie is quick to heal up any allies in need. She also has wings coming out of her head…

Taion

This soldier of Agnus who commands paper-like weapons is Taion. He acts as a tactician on the battlefield, using his smarts and intellect to support his allies, Mio and Sena. #XenobladeChronicles3

Although not in the official description, it appears that Mio is acquainted with Sena and Taion and Noah is acquainted with Lanz and Euphie (which is in the official descriptions.) Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is described as having two protagonists, Mio and Noah, so it will be interesting to see how the two “factions” meet up and join forces; or perhaps it’s Mio and Noah who join forces and their friends simply follow. Nintendo is sure to have some surprises when it comes to the characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and we cannot wait to see who else is in the game from previous titles (hint: please give us Melia!).
