With Titanfall 2 just around the corner, Respawn Entertainment is teasing some of the new titans in Titanfall 2 with their latest trailer. New titans Northstar, Legion, and Tone have been hinted at for the past couple months, but this new trailer actually offers some peeks at them. Respawn has said that they will continue to show off these new titans over the next couple of days.
In the recent technical tests, the only playable titans we could get our hands on were Scorch and Ion; both were enjoyable, but some of these new titans in Titanfall 2 look even better. In this new trailer, we also get to see some clips of the sword-wielding titan Ronin, which thousands of players have been clamoring to see in action. The Titanfall 2 blog also offers some brief descriptions of each of the titans:
- Tone: Tone is about accurately laying waste to enemies both efficiently–and explosively.
- Northstar: Northstar is a master of both flight and precision kills.
- Legion: Legion utilizes an assortment of ballistic abilities focusing on defense and control.
- Ronin: Ronin loves getting up close with its samurai vibe and quick-to-get-in-and-out tactics.
- Ion: Ion uses its energy management abilities to divert power between its three weapons systems.
- Scorch: Scorch manipulates fire as its primary source of defensive and offensive abilities.
Respawn also announced today that they are remaking the original Titanfall map Angel City for their first DLC release. Those who pre-order Titanfall 2 will receive access to Angel City three days before anyone else. After that, it will be free for everyone.
Titanfall 2 will be released on October 28 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
