Nintendo has just confirmed that their hit game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, will support Nintendo Labo. The company took to Twitter to announce that the Toy-Con Motorbike can be used as a controller in the game.

This support is available now via an online update. Players can connect their Toy-Cons to the game and it will recognize the controller layout. This allows for an ease of access so gamers won’t have to fiddle with any settings. Nintendo is also providing a Motorbike Cardboard Pack on their website for $11.99 which can help with customizing bikes, or for those that do not have the Variety Kit.
Nintendo Labo is an education based piece of gaming software that allows for users to let their minds create a plethora of designs. For $69.99, the Variety Kit is available which contains sets for a keyboard, fishing rod, motorbike, and a house. This is the kit which can be used with Mario Kart. There is also a robot set that can transform gamers into a giant mech as they topple buildings and complete objectives.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the first non-Labo game to utilize player creations. Hopefully, this can create a new trend of games on the Switch that offer support for the Nintendo Labo.
