Back in 2016, Bethesda Softworks released their reboot of the beloved DOOM franchise, the first main series release for fans in over a decade. The game was a huge success commercially, selling millions of copies. Amidst in-depth previews of upcoming titles from Sunday’s E3 press conference, a few teasers for highly anticipated sequels were shared, including DOOM: Eternal. Though a release timetable was not shared, a promise was made for more information to be shared in August. Double the demons, new weapons, new abilities, and a new soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon. With E3 soon to be in the rear-view, fans of the shooter will have to survive off these tiny bits of information, enduring these final two months before the initial gameplay reveal.
