Ubisoft has confirmed the title of the eleventh major installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, ‘Odyssey’. A small five-second teaser was posted to their official Twitter account today. Very little is shown, but it’s accompanied by the tagline “See you at E3”. Though not much is known about the developer’s plans for E3, the action-adventure saga is commonly one of their featured highlights of the expo. It’s more than likely that the game will once again be coming to both PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However with Ubisoft establishing itself as the best-selling third party developer for Nintendo Switch, so it will be interesting to see if their highest grossing property will be featured on the hybrid console.

Odyssey will take place in Ancient Greece, as rumors have suggested. The title is obvious enough. With Ubisoft establishing themselves as an elite developer, and with the success, both critically and commercially of Assassin’s Creed Origins, the title has all the makings of a classic. Ancient Greece is also a very intriguing setting for the next installment in the franchise so it will be interesting to see how Ubisoft approaches it.

VGCultureHQ will be present at E3 2018 and will be sure to deliver coverage of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey!
