Mark Hamill introduced a brand new TV spot for The Last Jedi on the Disney Holiday Celebration on ABC this past week. An extended version of that spot has surfaced via Twitter in full HD. The TV spot doesn’t actually reveal much and focuses on Finn and Captain Phasma, who we hopefully see more of on this outing. The spot finishes with Finn and Phasma’s epic duel. There are also some shots of Rey training with her staff and even a shot of her picking up Luke’s (or rather Anakin’s) lightsaber. There are also some previously unseen shots of The First Order, as well as shots of Poe and BB-8 in an X-Wing. the main focus, again, seems to be Phasma and Finn. While the trailers have shown some things that would possibly be deemed “spoilers”, they haven’t revealed too much. In fact, by this time last year the entire call sheet had been leaked by a notorious Star Wars spoiler site (I won’t name the site). Disney has done a fantastic job keeping a lid on things and Rian Johnson is promising, potentially, the best Star Wars film since Empire.
